Hi my name is Pat Lister I am small breeder living on the outskirts of Preston, Lancashire, England. I worked with high school children who have learning difficulties, emotional and behaviour problems until I retired. I have always loved big cats and have a great passion for tigers. A few years ago my friend introduced me to her Maine Coon "Max" he was such a gentle giant. I knew I could never own a tiger, but I certainly could have a Maine Coon. The only problem is with my family being grown up and having lives of their own, I soon found one Maine Coon was not enough and I truly love this breed.

I had reached a new season in my life where I had time to go to shows and also become a breeder of these wonderful cats. All our cats live in the house where they have free run of the place and also have access to a large outside run. It's wonderful to come in from work and be greeted with these loveable loyal friends.

January  2012 Happy New Year
I hope 2012 brings you all what you are in need of, with lots of joy and little sorrow.
Each year we seem to ask where has time gone. We reflect on the past year and we have all probably had good times and bad times, I know I have. However we enter this year with new hopes, dreams, plans we make none of us knowing what life has in store for us. I am going into this year looking forward to showing and breeding my Maine Coons.
Some new ones have joined us and some have retired to have great life's just as pets I always look forward to deepening friendships and making new ones. Some people come into our lives for a season while others come and stay. To all our true friends we say thank-you for your support and for e-mails and phone calls that can be such a blessing and encouragement. This year we are looking forward to our youngest sons wedding in October so must save up now Christmas is over. I am hoping we have a good summer so I can enjoy my other hobby of gardening, painting. Thank-you to all who have had kittens over the last year.
Thank-you for update photo's, its always great to see how the kittens have developed. My hobby of photography continues, I know how people say they enjoy the weekly photos. I love my cats and kittens very much and it's a joy to see them make other families so happy when they come to collect their new family addition.
Have a good year everyone.

January 2011 Happy New Year

To all our friends old and new we wish a Happy New Year.
Time goes so fast and sometimes we wish we could just stop the clock for a while. Some friends come into our lives for a short season others are friends life long.
All of you are precious and of value to us and at the start of a new year I just want to say we appreciate you all. It's great to be able to share good times and bad times. To learn and grow and always strive to be a better person and breeder.
2010 was a busy year we enjoyed many TICA shows, where it feels like a big family. You may not always win, but do always have fun and meet friends. Listening to judges talking about different breeds also helps you learn and appreciate other peoples pets.
Breeding continues as always to be both a joy and sometimes sad experience, however it's a hobby I love. Each cat is different , each kitten is different so I'm always learning something. I give so much time to my cats and kittens and it's just great when you get e-mails and photo's of your babies grown up.

We had the privilege of some of our kittens going to live in Europe over the last 2 years and have built such great and lasting friendships up. We also had the joy of staying with a friend in Holland and bringing home a new breeding queen from them. We also went to Germany taking a kitten to our friends, it was such fun seeing parts of Germany and trying to learn a little German. To share with new friends about our breed the "Maine Coon" and learn from each other was such a privilege.
My exciting news for 2011 is that in March we will be bringing home a new boy. I have watched him grow and develop and he's everything I love in look, temperament and sound strong healthy lines, I will put up photo's when he arrives, so check back at the end of March.
Roger works only three days a week and I'm grateful for his help in sharing my hobby. Roger built me a wonderful cat conservatory where my girl's can go out through the patio doors and play also watch the many birds that come to feed in our garden. When I take the kitten photo's Roger puts them up on my web site. So thank-you dear for your time and dedication.

Well friends enjoy 2011 and may you be healthy and happy and never to busy to spend time for each other. Time is the most precious gift you can give anyone. We don't know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future so trust in God.

To friends we lost last year just by knowing you our lives are enriched and parting is only temporary.

To our vets we say a big thank-you, you are the best and so supportive. We value you very much.

January 2009
Well here we are in 2009, where dose time go? It certainly speeds up after you reach 50. Hope everyone has a great 2009 with lots of mountain tops and not to many valley's. 2008 was another busy year, in spring we sadly lost Roger's mum who was 95. We have had lots of lovely kittens to enjoy and new ones come into our home for show/breeding and as pets in our cat family. Sup Gr Ch Noracoon Famous Fred who has been a real joy to show and watch develop into a big wonderful temperament boy. We look forward to his offspring. Kassaro Copperfield who did not like the show scene is such a hunk and loves cuddles, we were sad to loose some of this first litter but the two that remain are fabulous. Kassaro Franchesca, a solid Blue girl is wonderful and has a coat like velvet at the moment. This girl is so different and I just adore her. We have shown some TICA in 2008 which we have enjoyed so much and still do some GCCF shows. I am loving retirement and my hobbies. We have been blessed again this year by new friends we have made and old friends who are loyal and fun to be with. Have a great 2009 everyone.

February 2008 Happy New Year Everyone
Looking forward to another year of breeding and going to cat shows. We have a wonderful new stud boy who we are looking forward to showing later in the year. Kassaro Copperfield is a great addition to our breeding program. I can never thank my very good friend Sandra enough for this very loving boy. I am grateful for her support and friendship at all times. We have had two fabulous litters so far this year and looking forward to more. It has been a privilege also to encourage new comers into the world of showing, helping them with grooming and bath times! Also helping them how to mark results down. Everyone knows we can have great show days and others were we can feel disappointed. However I have learned to enjoy every show, meeting new friends, having a good time shopping on the cat stalls and learning more about our breed. I also love to look around other breeds and enjoy the World of Cats.

I must admit I just love the Maine Coons, they steal my heart every time. Have a good year everyone.

Update on the Coonaria household August 2007.
Earlier this year I gave up my job, to dedicate my time to my great passion of showing and breeding the wonderful breed of Maine Coons. I like to be present at every birth to comfort  and reassure my queens and assist when needed. Then I like mum and babies to have peace  to bond together but with me doing regular checks, We have had some wonderful kittens this year that have given us hours of pleasure watching them develop and gain confidence. We had our sad times as well but it's part of breeding. I'm looking forward to the patter of little paws in October. Having given up work gives me more time for hobbies like painting, gardening and keeping in touch with friends via e-mail. Sometimes life can be all rushing around and we can miss out on a great treasure, like having time for friends.

Thank you everyone who visits my web site, hope your life holds health and happiness for you and enrich it with a Maine Coon.
