COONARIA MISTER MOSES

I would like to pay tribute to the life of Coonaria Mister Moses.

Parents Sire: Ch Willowplace Buccaneer - Dame Ch Atticus Sorceress

Mister Moses was one of our first kitten's as breeder's born to Sorcy. Moses was a warm Brown tabby boy who went to live as a pet with Sandra & Ray Burgess.

We became very good friends with Sandra & Ray and had the privilege of watching Moses (or TC as they called him) grow. Sandra & Ray visited us at the Lakeland & District Cat Show in 2004 and yes they got the bug. They asked if they could enter Moses in a show.  We were thrilled to go over and show Sandra & Ray how to prepare their precious boy for his first show.

Mister Moses had a brilliant first show getting 1st & Best of Breed in the Open. Our friendship became deeper as there love for Maine Coons and showing grew.

At the Maine Coon show this year Mister Moses was put into isolation with a temperature. Sadly Sandra & Ray took Moses home where he would be more comfortable. Later on in the day Ray rang us at the show to say "TC " was fine and had eaten a plate of fish. The whole of the following week was a roller coaster of emotions. TC was neutered on the Monday, had a post op check up and his booster injection on the Wednesday (everything was fine) TC played like nothing was missing! Wednesday afternoon TC was sick ( Ray thought it was the booster upsetting him)

Thursday afternoon he was sick again so he was taken to the vets, a lump was found and the said to bring he back in the morning so he could have some x-rays. Friday the vets x-rayed TC and they were inconclusive so they operated on TC and found that he had one of the most aggressive Lymph Node cancers they had ever seen, it was totally inoperable. The vet rang Sandra & Ray while TC was still on the operating table, they had to give there consent for him  to been put to sleep. What a heart braking decision, but the most loving and kind.

As I write this tribute with a lump in my throat and tears all over the keyboard. I stop and pause to say Thank-you for giving Mister Moses (TC) the most loving home and happy life also for showing him so lovely.

I helped bring that very precious boy into the world, my first litter of Maine coon kitten's. We've shared your joy Sandra & Ray and we have shared your grief. We cried together and alone and it was a privilege to be there for our friends.

Moses your life here was such a blessing to us all. You will never be forgotten.
